Made in USA

... By yourself. Seriously though. When was the last time you made something, by yourself? No matter how terrible it turned out, when was the last time you pulled up your sleeves and got your hands dirty? I do it all the time- and there is nothing quite like watching something flow from your hands. It is a direct expression of our Creator, for we are made just like him, with a passion to continue creating. It is in our blood to do so. In some odd fashion, I always feel guilty when I make something. Why? Because I enjoy it so much it always feels indulgent. Too indulgent. But, if creating is our God given gift, isn't it our God given command to delight in it? Such a gift should never be wasted.
I find so much inspiration in the blogging community. So much hope, happiness, love and light in the women who post about their creativity. I've often written my husband saying the only things that seem to make sense anymore are the love we have for each other, and art. I've been working nearly full time with not a whole lot of time to create... and even though I work at a craft store, I'm getting the itch again. Forgive me if this blog makes no sense tonight, I felt I had to write it, even if it's just for writings sake. As previously mentioned, the best of my philosophical thoughts are hoisted on my husband and I hate repeating myself. Goodnight all! And happy crafting!
