| He was very proud to realize his belt also doubled as a coffee holder. |
I do love my walks around the many bays and peninsulas we have here. Let me tell you, they are never boring. The many local sight seeing destinations include-
-Used condoms in the road
-Hypodermic needles in the gutter
-Hearing 1700s drinking songs coming from a house and then turning to see a man in a pirate hat and beer in his hand exit
-People drunk of their horses before three, commentating on each other's rear ends in only the most slurred fashion
-Drug deals in plain sight!
-An overpopulation of very ugly "old people" dogs such as bichon frises, shi-tzus and other creatures I dare not comment on.
-Shady people that want to know your name.
Yes, it is never boring. I'd like to say that most of the action happens in the latter part of the day, and those are only the walks I take with Josh. Boomer and I usually go out in the morning when the inhabitants are either asleep or at work. Thus, we are left in peace to admire the flowers, song birds, and mountains.
The Paleo diet is going very well. I must say it's a difficult routine to follow when you are out of groceries and patiently awaiting the next paycheck. However, I'm pleased to announce that I am the new owner of a brand new jar of almond butter, so the peanut butter belly will no longer be an issue. And, I have bacon. I freaking love bacon. Boomer freaking loves bacon. We share :). Josh's transition is even slower, but I have the whole menu planned out for next week and lately, he's been eating protein for breakfast instead of, le gasp, Lucky Charms or some other ilk.
I'm still very tired though, and have been putting myself to sleep around ten every night. Ideally, nine, but I don't like dishes in the sink before bed. They haunt my dreams. Coffee is always a good perk in the morning, but I have to drink it at a snails pace or I shake really bad, crash, and then gorge on foods. I have noticed that eating protein in the morning absorbs some of this effect. It also greatly depends on the type of coffee. Josh bought a huge box of k-cups from the NEX, and I have been experimenting with the different flavors. Newman's Own Organics is delicious. Caribou- ew, bitter coffee robusta grossness. I had to reheat it in the microwave (as per usual) and discovered a thin, greasy film of caffeine on the top. I will be drinking this beyond slowly.
Yesterday was a good day food wise for me. 1530 calories, 77 g of protein, 97 grams of carbs. I'd like to focus more on my protein intake, but I know I desperately need the carbs lest I become a member of the living dead. I'm am 100% sure that bananas are a no go for me. It's akin to eating a brick. Apples are tasty, as long as they are paired with a protein, otherwise I am left ravenous.
4 eggs
2 Tbs half and Half
1 Can Tuna (I realllly don't like Tuna BUT if I microwave it with broccoli and slather it in butter, I can't really taste it).
1 Tbs butter
1.5 C broccoli
4 slices of bacon :)
1 Banana
1 Apple
2 Tbs PB
3 Tbs AB (yay!)
Brussel Sprouts (Without butter, these are equivalent to butt hole).

I missed something. Why are you on a diet?(and what's so special about the Paleo diet?)
Hope all is well.

Hey! Yep, everything is awesome. And no worries, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle! Basically, you eat like a caveman and eat absolutely NO grains. I found it fascinating and after nearly destroying my body on this vegetarian thing, I had to do something. I can't tell you how much better I feel. You should look it up!
