Even so, he is a pretty good boy. He's lost almost all of his front teeth and looks really silly, but that hasn't impaired his ability to test out the dog treats I've been making. I still need to work on the crunchiness factor. I hope I figure it out before his face farting gets out of hand. A few have been stomach twisting, puke-worthy.
Currently, Boomer and I are cleaning and packing for our weekend get away home. Boomer doesn't do well in the car so I bought him some benadryl to knock him out. I love going on road trips with my husband. Road trips are never boring, often involve coffee, and sometimes involve getting lost (usually my fault).
So far, the Paleo diet is going well. It's almost been a week since I started. I tried Brussels sprouts for the first time today, and besides the fact that they look like the Jolly Green Giants testicles, they were actually pretty tasty. I don't miss rice so much today, but I still have the habitual "want" to graze, even though I'm so full. Which leads to another issue- I'm so full that I'm having a really difficult time meeting my basic caloric needs. I've also experience extreme sleepiness today, which I can either attribute to little sleep or just a rush of triptophan. My blood isn't getting it's usual dose of glucose rushes so that may play a part too. I've also been thirsty, but that is easily remedied. All in all, my mood is stable and I haven't felt the need to a) cry b)fly off the handle c)pace the house.
Breakfast was quick. I had ten minutes to get ready.
An apple
2 Tbs of almond butter
Lunch
4 oz of ground turkey
6 Brussels Sprouts
Snack
Apple
Tea with creme (I love eating butter and fat now)
Dinner
Spiced Tuna
1.5 C Buttered brocolli
52 g protein
66 carbs
I'm frustrated because I know this isn't enough food, but I'M JUST NOT HUNGRY! These past few days Josh has not once heard me complain about needing food, or being cranky. I plan on making some hard boiled eggs tonight and chicken for tomorrows trip. Maybe I'll squeeze something in there.
