Checking in, with not too much to say

First off, I'd like to take a moment to say "Thank you!" to all of the men and women who serve this country. Thank you for protecting my family, thank you for fighting against those who would strip us of our freedom and thank you for doing a job that not many people could/would do.

Part of my three step plan to surviving deployment was getting my health back, remember? I was doing quite well, and without getting into specifics, my body started functioning like a healthy 20 year olds body should. Upon returning to this squalid 70 year old house, I was greeted by none other than a black mold infestation akin to (as Josh says) The Flood. All of my symptoms that I was able to purge back home came rushing back within a 24 hour period and have steadily gotten worse. Migraines, nausea, dizziness, joint pain, incredible lower abdominal pain (think feasting on live fire ants), sluggishness and general malaise. IT SUCKS, but that's what happens when you are allergic to mold and this house, with perfect mold growing conditions, revolts. Thank goodness we will be moving in a few days. The seventeenth could not come any sooner.
Nevertheless, Josh and I both woke up sick. We had intended on going back to CDA, which I was all for, I miss Boog, but that just flat out didn't happen. This is ok though, Josh bought Skyrim and I've slept  next to him and my gallon of water all day. I'm hoping we will feel better for at least one day- it's not often we get a three day weekend together.
But lounging has its benefits. I've scoured the most hidden corners of Pinterest today, and I maybe, might, kinda admit I'm a teensy bit excited for the Christmas season because I can bake as many freaking cookies as I want. I'm also totally stoked for the Christmas Party this year. Josh did not put up a fight. Now I'm wondering if he's trying to teach me a lesson. Suspicious.
