Professor Briana has left the building. It's safe now.

In lieu of my last post, which went on a completely different route than I intended, I give you today's post. In short, I just wish, hope and pray that society could just STOP and just listen. I wish they could listen to the flowers bloom, watch the steam rise from their cup of coffee, feel the warmth of puppy fur, and let the rain dance on their faces. Why and when did such appreciation end? I have found in this past week, that the quieter I am, the more receptive I am, and the less distracted I am, the more I understand. It's so easy to get caught up in the rat race, but our meaning doesn't rest there. It was never meant to. I just want to encourage everyone to take ten minutes (yes, it is possible) and spend them outside, in prayer and absolute silence. I really think you will start to hear the essence of what it means to exist and the beauty and miracle of what is around you.

I also believe that everyone should take the time out of their day to create. Creation is something that makes us uniquely human. We don't do it for the sake of survival, but because we find joy in it. So, create.

That was beautiful, Briana. Thank you! I needed to read that today. :-)
